Preschool Graduation

Rylee graduated from preschool a couple of weeks ago. She had such a great year and she had tons of fun! We will miss Rainbow Corner. Here is Rylee with her teacher Mrs. Lee.

This is Rylee's with her best friend from preschool, Stephen.

Got to love this picture with her "diploma".

Easter

Rylee was quite the pro when it came to coloring Easter eggs this year. She didn't need any help.

Bryn wasn't so sure what to think of the whole idea of dyeing eggs.

We were finally able to have an Easter Egg hunt outside. We've been trying every year since Rylee was born, but every year it's either snowed or rained. Here's Bryn in her Easter dress holding one of the few eggs Rylee let her find!

Here's Ry in her Easter dress holding some of the Easter eggs she found.

April - part 3

We spent a day at Disneyland!!! We had a lot of fun!

We got to meet some characters. We met Goofy and Mickey and also Tinkerbell and a couple of her friends. Rylee wasn't a big fan of Goofy and Mickey! We did a lot of convincing to get the next two pics!

Mommy and Brynlee walked around while Daddy and Rylee rode the Matterhorn. I noticed a line to see Sleeping Beauty and figured we had time to do a bit of waiting. By the time we got to the front of the line Bryn had fallen asleep...I was not going to leave without a picture!!!

Rylee really surprised us and went on a lot of "big" rides. She loved the Matterhorn and rode it once with dad and again with mom. She also went on Space Mountain!

Rylee's favorite rides were It's a Small World and the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster's.
Brynlee loved It's a Small World and the Carousel.

We'll definitely have to go again. Maybe when the kids are a bit older...mom and dad need a rest!

April - part 2

We went to Sea World for one of our days in California. The girls had so much fun. Brynlee loved the sea lions. Here they are in front of the seal lion tank.

After the sea lions we took the girls to the dolphin show. They loved it... until we got soaked!!!!!!! Mommy and Bryn dripping wet.
As you can see Rylee was not at all thrilled to have gotten wet. It took her a few minutes to calm down and continue to enjoy the show.

Rylee thought it was pretty cool to be able to touch the starfish or sea stars as she calls them.

We also really enjoyed the Shamu show and surprisingly Rylee was upset that we didn't get wet!

At Sea World they also have a few rides. We took Ry on a couple of the Sesame Street rides, but she surprised us by going on the Atlantis ride. Here's a picture of Daddy and Rylee on the ride. (They are on the back row)

April - part 1

In April we went to California for a week. We celebrated Shaun's birthday while we were there. He really wanted to spend his birthday at the beach.

Brynlee standing in the sand for the first time. Not so sure what to think.

Rylee loved the beach. She really loved collecting shells.

We had lunch at Ruby's on the pier (in the background) and then let the girls (mostly Ry) play in the water.

A couple of pics of Rylee in the water. She got wet from the neck down! Crazy girl!!!

January

In January Rylee had her very first haircut. She did such a great job.
She loved being able to watch a Barbie movie during the haircut.
She keeps asking when she can have another haircut. It took a lot of convincing to get mom to let her have the first haircut we'll see how long it is before she gets another!

December

Daddy got Rylee this cute little gingerbread house kit to make. She had so much fun making it. She had quite the system down...eat two, put one on the house, eat three, put two on the house, etc. I'm surprised she didn't get a belly ache!

A few days before Christmas Brynlee crawled up the stairs for the first time. She is growing up so fast.

Our Christmas tree. The majority of the ornaments started on the bottom of the tree (Rylee put them on). As the weeks passed they started accumulating on the top of the tree as Bryn would find them we would have to put them out of her reach.

Rylee showing all of her presents.

Brynlee showing off all of her presents. In case you're wondering she is in a tent. She wanted to spend most of the morning in the tent!

Brynlee turns 1

In November we celebrated Thanksgiving and then we got to celebrate Bryn's 1st birthday.

Brynlee wasn't so sure what to think of unwrapping presents. Rylee and Mommy got to unwrap most of the gifts. She like the toys much better with all the paper off.

We got a Mickey and Minnie cake for her birthday. Usually I attempt to create some sort of "masterpiece" for birthdays, but this time around I decided not to stress too much and just buy a cake. I think it turned out pretty cute and the lady at the bakery did much better than I could.

Bryn got her very own cake. At first she was really quite dainty about the whole thing. She touched it a few times, but wasn't about to dive right in.

However eventually she got used to the idea and we had quite a mess!
We love Brynnie so much and are so glad she is a part of our family.

Halloween

Trick-or-Treat!!! Rylee and Brynnie looked so cute for Halloween. Rylee was a ladybug and Bryn was a Lion (a girl lion)! We had fun carving pumpkins - notice their pumpkins on the porch by them.

Rylee went to the pumpkin patch with Grandma and Grandpa Mason and brought home several pumpkins.

Rylee had a fun Halloween parade at preschool. They went to each mom and had to sing a song for a treat. They all looked so cute!

August & September

We had a lot of fun in August. Shaun's uncle George and cousin George came to visit.

Ry's best friend Little George!

We also got to go to the fair and another rodeo.
Rylee and Daddy on Dizzy Dragons.

Rylee always makes sure we ride the carousel several times. Even Bryn got in on the fun!

In September Shaun was able to go on a backpacking trip with my brother-in-laws and a few friends. We also celebrated our 5 year anniversary.
